The Hall of Fame is a museum in Leh that is built and maintained by the Indian Army in memory of those Indian Soldiers who lost their lives during the Indo-Pak wars. This museum displaying seized Pakistani weapons and arms is located in the Leh-Kargil road about 4 km away from the city of Leh.
The hall is situated near Leh Airfield and its building comprises 2 floors and on the ground floor there is information about the brave soldiers.
This ancient place has preserved the quotes, letters, aircraft, weapons, tools, tents and other different things that were used by soldiers, giving a patriotic feeling to all the visitors.
The entrance of the hall is like a pyramid which is a famous tourist attraction. The museum also portrays the history of Leh, its culture, and its stunning flora and fauna. Travelers can witness beautiful landscapes and mountains.

The Hall of Fame is divided into two segments which have several sections displaying various things. There is a segment in the upper floor called OP Vijay Gallery, which features weapons used in the Kargil war and arms with ammunition captured by the Indian army during the war. On the same segment, there is a wall named “Lest we Forget” which displays photographs of those soldiers who gave up their lives during the wars.
On the ground floor, there is a projection room where you can watch a documentary namely “Operation Vijay”. After this, you can see another wall called “The Last Post”. It was a letter written by Captain Vijayant Thapar to his parents before he became a martyr.
In another segment, there is a display of culture, history and other associated facts about Ladakh. There is also a souvenir shop where visitors can purchase various things such as t-shirts, caps, Pashmina Shawls and coffee mugs, etc. you can also do a photoshoot in Ladaki attire in the photoshop and get the prints after paying a small amount of money.

The Hall of Fame is located in Leh at a distance of 4 km from the city. Tourists can reach the Hall of Fame on the way to Magnetic Hill via Leh Srinagar Highway. From the Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, the Hall of Fame is situated at a distance of 2.1 km.
How to reach the Hall Of Fame Ladakh
The Hall of Fame museum is located about 4 km from Leh City and 5 km from Leh Airport. You can reach the museum by various modes of transportation, such as: You can reach the Hall of Fame via a flight or road.
By flight to Leh: You can book a flight to Leh airport and then book a taxi to reach the Hall of Fame.
By Taxi: You can hire a taxi from Leh city or the airport to the museum. The taxi fare is around Rs. 200 to Rs. 300 for a one-way trip. You can also book a taxi online or through a travel agent.
